Australian Design Rule ADR 65 - Maximum Road Speed Limiting for Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Omnibuses - Western Australia

Description

You will need to comply with this standard if you intend to operate a bus with a GVM of over 14.5 tonnes, or a prime mover with a GVM of over 15 tonnes. This does not apply to a vehicle manufactured before 1987, an emergency vehicle, or a bus equipped for standing passengers. Two axle prime movers constructed between 1987 and 1991 which are used for primary production (excluding fishing, mining and forestry) are also exempt from this requirement.

This standard specifies devices or systems used to limit the maximum road speed of heavy goods vehicles and heavy omnibuses.
