You will require this permit if you intend to conduct games of bingo for the purpose of raising funds. Please note that conducting games of bingo for private gain or as a commercial undertaking is prohibited.
If you intend to donate money raised through bingo to a charity or other community organisation, then that charity or community organisation will also have to advise the Agency on the intended use of the funds.
There are two types of permits:
- A six month permit which specifies the dates on which you may conduct games of bingo. These games must be conducted by or on behalf of a senior citizen bingo club.
- A permit of a continuing nature, which authorises you to conduct games of bingo on specified days at specified times.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this permit you must:
- be a charitable organisation or conduct the bingo on behalf of a charitable organisation or
- be a club comprised mainly of senior citizens, and run games primarily for senior citizens
- submit the required forms
- pay the required fees.
