You will require this licence if you intend to operate as a motor vehicle yard manager. A yard manager is someone employed or engaged by a licensed motor vehicle dealer to manage or supervise the dealer's business of buying and / or selling vehicles at the dealer's premises.

Eligibility requirements

To obtain a motor vehicle yard manager licence you must:

  • Prove your identity and that you are over 18 years of age;
  • Prove that you are a fit and proper person and of good character and repute, having no recent significant criminal convictions, as determined by the Board;
  • Complete the required training course;
  • Complete the required forms; and
  • Pay the prescribed fees.
