Service summary

You will require this licence if you intend to do any activity which requires the pumping or diverting of water from a proclaimed watercourse, wetland or catchment area.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must complete each of the following:

  • detail the location of the property from which water will be taken
  • provide details of the proposed water usage on the property
  • provide details of surface water availability, taking into account the rights of other landowners situated along the watercourse
  • submit the required forms.
