You will require this permit if you intend to purchase poisons from a manufacturer or wholesale supplier for educational, advisory, or research purposes. This includes the purchase of poisons for use in research in a tertiary institution.
Your permit will specify the types of poisons which you are authorised to use. The poison must only be used for the purpose stated on the permit.

To be eligible for this permit you will need to verify that the permit is for bona fide educational, advisory or research purposes.
Use is limited to qualified personnel or staff under their direct supervision. The poisons listed may only be used for the purpose stated on the permit by the permit holder or persons under their direction. They may not be supplied or resold.
The granting of a permit to a new business and/or new permit holder is not automatic and assessment of relevant experience and qualifications is taken into account. Please consult the information and application documents for further details.
