Service summary

You will be required to comply with this standard if you own or work for a licenced motor vehicle repair business and you intend to undertake autogas work at your premises. Auto gas work means to service, repair, overhaul or modify a gas fuel system. You must ensure that your premises and work processes comply with the standard.

The particular version of the standard you are required to comply with is Australian Standard AS 2746-1999, Working Areas for Gas-fuelled Vehicles as published on 5 January 1999. This sets out requirements for the premises, and procedures for certain types of work or activity associated with gas-fuelled vehicles.
