Registration of a Community Kindergarten - Western Australia

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to operate a community kindergarten. A community kindergarten is a school that provides education for children in the first year of their pre-compulsory education period, and / or education for children in their early education.

The first year of the pre-compulsory education period starts at the beginning of the year in which a child reaches the age of four years and six months until the 31st of December of that year. The early education period is the period before a child reaches the pre-compulsory education period.

  • have an incorporated governing body which is composed of fit and proper people, and which has a satisfactory constitution

  • ensure that your kindergarten will meet any applicable regulatory standards.
