National Police Certificate - Western Australia

Description

You may need this certificate as part of the employment or screening process for employers or licensing bodies. A National Police Certificate (NPC) lists an individual's criminal and traffic court outcomes, and pending charges that can be legally disclosed at the time of application. Certain convictions will not be disclosed on a NPC in accordance with the legislation and policies of various police jurisdictions.

You should check with your employer or licensing body to confirm that a NPC is appropriate, as some employers and licensing bodies use alternative screening processes. If you are applying for child-related employment or volunteering, you must apply for a Working with Children Check.

You cannot apply for this certificate in Western Australia if you currently reside overseas or interstate:

  • overseas applicants must apply to the Australian Federal Police
  • interstate applicants must apply to their respective police jurisdiction.
