Description

You will be required to apply for this approval if you intend to undertake an activity that may diminish the heritage significance of a place or object. You will also be required to apply if the activity is likely to damage an Aboriginal place or object.

Eligibility requirements

The statement must be provided as a plan that outlines:

  • The place or object (heritage site) that may be affected;
  • The proposed activity including the reason for, extent and duration of the activity;
  • The likely impact of the activity on the heritage site;
  • The measures you will put in place to reduce the risk of diminishing the heritage significance or damaging the heritage site; and
  • Whether there are other methods that could be used to carry out the activity.
