AS 2593-2004 Boilers - Safety Management and Supervision Systems - Australian Capital Territory


You will be required to comply with this standard if you operate, manufacture, install or maintain gas boilers. This standard specifies requirements for boilers which are to be operated when:

  • unattended
  • partially unattended
  • always attended.

The standards specify the requirements for:

  • control, management and supervisions systems
  • valves and fittings
  • housing and operation
  • checking, testing and maintenance.

You must also ensure that all gas pressure equipment is maintained, inspected and used in accordance with all relevant standards.
