Code of Practice for the Welfare of Amphibians in Captivity - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will be required to comply with this code if you are involved, or intend to be involved, in collecting or caring for amphibians. Amphibians are cold-blooded vertebrates that typically live on land but breed in water (for example, frogs). The purpose of this code is to provide the minimum standards of care for keeping amphibians in captivity and to encourage the protection of wild populations from illegal harvesting and introduction of disease and genetic contamination.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
