Description

You will be required to comply with this code if you operate, or intend to operate, a business that is involved in the management and handling of cattle. The code outlines the basic requirements for persons responsible for the welfare and husbandry of all types of cattle:

  • Cows;
  • Heifers;
  • Bulls;
  • Steers; and
  • Calves.

It aims to promote the humane and considerate treatment of beef and dairy cattle, good husbandry practices and set an industry standard by defining acceptable cattle management practices.
