Description

You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to operate a domestic animals registry service.

The purpose of this code is to ensure information relating to the identification of domestic animals is stored correctly. The code specifies procedures for:

  • Notifying persons about incorrect information;
  • Establishing new records for cats and dogs;
  • The time allowed before new records must be entered; and
  • Providing the owner or keeper of a dog with a certificate specifying the information stored in a new record.
