Agricultural Levies - Australian Government

Description

You may be required to pay an agricultural levy if you grow, produce or distribute Australian food and / or agricultural produce. Agricultural levies are collected on rural commodities and products that are produced within Australia.

There are several categories of leviable commodities:

  • Dairy;
  • Grains;
  • Horticulture;
  • Livestock;
  • Wine/Grapes; and
  • Other commodities, including eggs, farmed prawns, forest and wood products, queen bees, sugar cane and wool.
