Description

You will be required to comply with these guidelines if you intend to navigate a ship in a sulphur oxide emission control area.

An exhaust gas cleaning system must be operated in accordance with these guidelines. The guidelines also set the prescribed level of emission of sulphur oxides. Any waste stream arising from the system's operation must be within the limits mentioned in section 10 of the Guidelines.
