You will require this approval if you intend to undertake any type of activity that may significantly impact on a National Heritage place.

An action has, will have, or is likely to have a significant impact on the National Heritage values of a declared place if it does, will, or is likely to result in one or more of the National Heritage values being lost, damaged or degraded.

If the activity involves several stages then you may need to gain approval for each stage.
