Australian National Guidelines for Whale and Dolphin Watching 2017 - Australian Government


You will be required to comply with these guidelines if you intend to observe and / or interact with whales and dolphins for commercial purposes. The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure that the animals are not harmed or disturbed.

These guidelines provide a consistent national policy for the management of whale and dolphin watching. You should note that state and territory governments must implement their own laws and guidelines to best suit their jurisdictions, and they may differ from the National Guidelines.
