Description

You will need this consent if you intend to import an unregistered agricultural or veterinary chemical, or unapproved active constituent.

An active constituent is a proposed or existing chemical product primarily responsible for the biological or therapeutic effects of the product, and its biological identification as an agricultural or veterinary chemical product.

Eligibility requirements

Your application will be assessed against relevant international conventions or agreements adopted by the Australian Government and according to whether there are any potential risks for humans, animals, the environment, industry or trade.

You may require additional approval from other agencies to import chemical substances into Australia.
For imports involving multiple chemicals, a separate form must be completed for each chemical. A multiple entry import permit may be granted provided you are a fit and proper person.
