ISO 18813:2006 Ships and Marine Technology -- Survival Equipment for Survival Craft and Rescue Boats - Australian Government

Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if you operate a ship registered in Australia, or any ship in the territorial sea of Australia.

The lifeboats on your ships must have:

  • Compasses that comply with clause 4.6 of ISO 18813:2006, or other equivalent international standard approved by the agency; and
  • Manual pumps complying with clause 4.3 of ISO 18813:2006, or other equivalent international standard approved by the agency.
