Marine Order 11 (Living and Working Conditions on Vessels) - Australian Government

Description

You are required to comply with this Marine Order if you intend to operate a regulated Australian vessel or a foreign vessel within Australian waters. This Order establishes the standards for working and living on vessels as outlined in the Maritime Labour Convention, including:

  • minimum requirements for seafarers working on vessels
  • conditions of employment
  • accommodation and food and catering
  • health protection, medical care, welfare and social security protection
  • noise levels on board vessels.
