Marine Order 58 (Safe management of vessels) - Australian Government

Description

You may be required to comply with this code if you operate a sea faring vessel. The code provides an international standard for the safe management and operation of ships.

The code aims to ensure:

  • Safety at sea;
  • Prevention of human injury or loss of life;
  • Avoidance of damage to the environment, particularly the marine environment; and
  • Avoidance of damage to property.
