The Agency will consider the provisions of this code when determining applications for a licence to undertake research involving human embryos.

This statement provides a national reference point for ethical considerations relevant to all research involving humans. It provides guidance for researchers, ethics committees, institutions, organisations and the public on how such research should be designed and conducted so as to conform to those principles and reflect those values.
