National Electricity Rules - Australian Government


You may be required to comply with these rules if you intend to generate or supply electricity, including if your power station is accredited to create renewable energy certificates (large-scale generation certificates). Your accreditation may be suspended if you do not use standard metering that meets the requirements of the Rules.

These Rules contain the electricity market rules. It sets out the objectives of the market, and the rights and responsibilities of market participants such as power stations, the market manager and the Agencies involved.
