Radiation Protection Standard Maximum Exposure Levels to Radiofrequency Fields - 3kHz to 300GHz (2002) - Australian Government

Note that this standard has been updated and you will need to meet the requirements set out in Standard for Limiting Exposure to Radiofrequency Fields - 100 kHz to 300GHz.

You may need to comply with this standard if you intend to deal with controlled apparatus. A controlled apparatus is an apparatus which produces harmful non-ionizing radiation when energised.

This standard applies wherever the public may be exposed to radiofrequency (RF) radiation fields and whenever employees may be exposed in the course of their work.

This standard outlines practices that limit public and occupational exposure to RF hazards, and specifies limits of human exposure to RF fields in the frequency range 3 kHz to 300 GHz to prevent adverse health effects.
