Telecommunications (Customer Equipment Safety) Technical Standard - Australian Government

Description

You will be required to comply with this technical standard if you manufacture, supply or modify:

  • customer equipment that is designed or intended for use as part of a connection to a telecommunications network
  • information technology equipment for use as the AC mains supply as a telecommunications transmission medium.

The purpose of this code is to help protect the:

  • integrity of a telecommunications network or a facility
  • health and safety persons who operate, work on, use or may be affected by the operation of a telecommunications network or facility.
