Trade Measurement Verifier Recognition - Australian Government

You will require this recognition if you intend to operate as a trade measurement verifier in Australia. A verifier tests the suitability of measuring instruments for trade use and mark them accordingly with a verification mark issued under a servicing licence. Only verifiers registered by the National Measurement Institute may verify instruments used for trade.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.

Service type

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

All verifiers must be approved as competent in their skills to operate. Competence means that you can conduct verification tasks in your role as a verifier, by applying the relevant knowledge, skills and attitude required in the workplace against the set performance criteria.

This standard of workplace performance is set out in the nationally recognised units of competence for the Skill Set in Trade Measurement Verification. To be assessed as competent for each of these units, you will need to provide a portfolio of evidence using the Recognition Kit that demonstrates you can perform to the required standard. Once you have been assessed as competent using the Recognition Kit process, you will be awarded the appropriate Skill Set and be eligible to conduct the appropriate verification tasks in your role.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information regarding eligibility requirements.

Please consult the Contact Officer for information on the duration of this licence.
