British Standard BS 716-1937 - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You must comply with this standard if you install scaffolding on construction projects. The standards outline the maximum load that can be taken by:

  • Analogous fittings.

This standard referenced in legislation has been superseded by BS 4429:1987 Specification for Rigging Screws and Turnbuckles for General Engineering, Lifting Purposes and Pipe Hanger Applications. It specifies rules for the use of materials, components, dimensions, finishes and also for tests for rigging screws (8-100 mm thread size) and turnbuckles (8-72 mm thread size).
