You must comply with these rules if you are a legal practitioner carrying on practice as a solicitor. Ensuring that you comply with these rules shows that you have a high standard of professional conduct, as is required by a legal practitioner.

The rules set out conditions on:

  • Relations with clients;
  • Your duties as a practitioner to the court;
  • Advocacy;
  • Relations with other practitioners;
  • Relations with third parties; and
  • Legal practice.
