Registration as a Surveyor - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to practise as a surveyor. A surveyor examines and records features of an area for the purpose of creating a map or plan.

A registered surveyor is authorised to submit plans for registration for the purpose of defining, re-defining or marking the boundaries of land in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Registered surveyors may also provide certificates showing the location of buildings in relation to property boundaries and create contour and detail maps and data.

Please be aware that the ACT does not hold independent registration examinations. If you have not been registered in the ACT before, you will be required to sit an examination in another jurisdiction and apply for mutual recognition of your qualification and experience.
