Australian New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules - Australian Government

Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if you intend to design, install or operate a small generation unit. A small generation unit is a device that generates small amounts of electricity from hydro, wind or solar energy sources.

Renewable energy certificates (small-scale technology certificates) may be issued after a small generation unit is installed. For certificates to be issued, the small generation unit must meet certain conditions.

These rules specify minimum requirements for the design, construction and verification of electrical installations, such as small generation units, including the selection and installation of electrical equipment forming part of such electrical installations.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
