Code of Practice and Safety Guide for Radiation Protection and Radioactive Waste Management in Mining and Mineral Processing (2005) - Australian Government

You will be required to comply with this code if you undertake activities in a controlled facility, with controlled apparatus or with controlled materials. Facilities, apparatus and materials are considered to be controlled if they require strict operational procedures for safety and use to minimise harm from radiation or radioactive waste.

This code establishes the requirements for radiation protection in mining and mineral processing industries, as well as for the protection of human health and the environment from the effects of radioactive waste occurring through mining and mineral processing.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
