You will be required to comply with this manual if you intend to operate an aerodrome.

An aerodrome is an area of land or water, including any buildings, installations and equipment, which is used wholly or partly for the arrival, departure or movement of aircraft.

This manual sets out the regulatory regime of aerodromes used by aeroplanes conducting air transport operations.

The manual provides that aerodromes are to be certified or registered, and contains rules, mandatory standards, procedures and guidance information relating to the planning, design and operation of aerodromes.
