Marine Order 30 (Prevention of collisions) - Australian Government

Description

You will be required to comply with this order if you intend to act as the master of a vessel in an area of Australian jurisdiction in the Torres Strait.

An area of Australian jurisdiction includes any area of waters in the protected zone, which is the area, commonly referred to as Torres Strait, lying between mainland Papua New Guinea and Australia and any Commonwealth managed fisheries within the Protected Zone coastal waters of Queensland.

This order prescribes measures to be observed by ships for the prevention of collisions, and specifies lights and signals to be provided on a ship.
