You will require this accreditation if you intend to operate a tour service using four-wheel drive vehicles. A tour service is a public passenger pre-booked service that is designed for the carriage of tourists to destinations listed on a publicly available tour itinerary, or a service designed for the carriage of tourists where all passengers journeys have a common origin or a common destination, or both.
Each tour offered by a four-wheel drive tourist service must involve the carriage of passengers on a surface other than a sealed road.
You must only use vehicles that comply with the Australian Design Standards for off-road passenger vehicles (also known as "MC" vehicles).
Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.
