You must comply with this code if you intend to breed dogs or cats. The code also outlines the responsibilities of owners and lessees of puppies and kittens.

The code sets standards for the care and management of breeding dogs and cats, including standards for housing, environment, security, animal management, food and water, cleaning and disinfection, transport, health and care, human destruction, transfer of ownership, and breeding and rearing.
