Authority to Act as a Representative of a Casino Junket Promoter - New South Wales

If you intend to act as a representative of a casino junket promoter, you will need to ensure that a junket promoter has authorised your activities and has provided written proof of this to you, to the Authority and to the relevant casino operator.

A casino junket includes situations where:

  • a promoter introduces a person or group of people to a casino and receives a commission based on a percentage of their gambling during a defined period
  • the promotion of a casino to a person or group of people (usually involving arrangements for the provision of transportation, accommodation, food, drink, entertainment, etc.).

Please note that there are restrictions on casino operators and employees being involved in junkets unless they are directly organised by the casino they operate or are employed by.
