Cemeteries and Crematoria Registration - New South Wales


You may require this registration if you operate a cemetery or crematorium in New South Wales. If you are responsible for the management of a cemetery or cremation, you are required to register details of your facilities with the Agency. All facilities including closed or heritage facilities must be registered.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to register your cemetery or crematorium, you will be required to provide the following information:

  • the name and location of the facility
  • your name and address
  • the telephone number of the facility, or your telephone number
  • any other information required by the Agency.

Please be aware you must notify the Agency of any material changes to this information within 14 days.
