Change Gaming Machine Shutdown Period - New South Wales

Description

You will require this approval if your business operates gaming machines and you intend to change the gaming machine shutdown period and operate outside of standard shutdown times (4:00am to 10:00am each day of the week). During the shutdown period all gaming machines must not be used for the purpose of gaming.

Gaining this approval will allow you to decrease the shutdown period from 6 hours to the 3 hour period from 6:00am to 9:00am. You can apply for changes to shutdown periods under the following categories:

  • weekend and public holidays
  • for hardship grounds (each day of the week)
  • early openers.
