Licence to Import or Export Protected Fauna - New South Wales

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to import or export protected fauna.

Fauna are animals, including any mammal, bird, reptile or amphibian. Protected fauna are animals, including any mammal, bird, reptile or amphibian that has not been listed in the Act as being unprotected. Australian native animals are generally considered to be protected.

If you intend to import or export protected birds, it is recommended that you refer to the list of exempt birds first, as some birds do not require a licence.
