Application for Authority to Prescribe a Schedule 8 Drug (Drug of Addiction) - New South Wales

Description

You will require this authorisation if you intend to prescribe a drug of addiction to a patient under specified circumstances in NSW. A drug of addiction is any substance that is classified a Schedule 8 substance in the NSW Poisons List.

Eligible applications for Authority to Prescribe an Unregistered or (Pharmacy) Extemporaneously - Compounded Schedule 8 Product are generally processed within 30 business days. Eligible applications to Prescribe and Supply Schedule 8 Cannabis Medicine for Human Therapeutic Use are generally processed within 2 business days. All other eligible applications are generally processed within 7 business days.
