Higher Mass Limit Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to operate a heavy vehicle that exceeds the general mass limits. There are maximum higher mass limits for different types of heavy vehicles that are based on axle groups.

You must ensure that a heavy vehicle that operates under this permit operates on an authorised route. Authorised higher mass limit routes are outlined by state and territory road transport authorities. This permit allows vehicles to travel only in stated areas or on authorised routes.
