Registration of a Bookmaker (Greyhound Racing) - New South Wales

Description

You will require this registration if you are an individual or proprietary company and intend to operate as a bookmaker at greyhound race meetings in NSW. A bookmaker provides wagering services to the public at racecourses. They take bets or wagers on behalf of racing punters and issue winnings.

If you intend to register a proprietary company, the Agency will need to be satisfied that your company is an eligible company.

Please be aware that you must comply with the specified rules and your licence will be subject to conditions.

  • submit the application in the approved form
  • pay the required fees
  • pay the cash deposit or bond determined by the Agency
  • supply evidence of character, fitness and experience
  • if applying as a company, supply requested evidence to the Agency can determine if you are an eligible company
  • if applying as an individual, be 18 years old or older.
