1080 Pest Animal Management Authorisation (PAMA) and Permit - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this authorisation and permit if you intend to use 1080 (a Schedule 7 poison) to control wild dogs. The use of 1080 can mitigate the impact that wild dogs can pose to livestock. If you need to reduce problems caused by feral pigs, foxes or rabbits, you may be able to obtain separate authorisation.

All permit holders must continue to keep a record of:

  • the details of all people who are trained and authorised to collect, lay and prepare baits
  • the notification, storage and usage of 1080 on the authorised property.
