Outdoor Dining Permit - Alice Springs Town Council - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to place tables and chairs on the footpath outside a restaurant or cafe.

Eligibility requirements

 

To be eligible you will need to:

  • hold a minimum of $10 million Public Liability insurance. The Certificate of insurance must be submitted with the application
  • provide the council with the address and a location plan or sketch of the area where you intend to provide outdoor dining facilities.

Duration

An Alfresco Dining permit is valid for 1 year. Each permit shall be renewal annually on 1st July of each year at the discretion of the Council.

Additional information

Please be aware that the council has a number of conditions for alfresco dining in Todd Mall. These conditions include:

  • having the alfresco café area be nominated by the council
  • having no furniture or bins or other objects encroach on storm water gutters
  • have furniture or the like be situated in an area other than nominated by the council
  • keeping the area clean.
