Domestic Processing Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a domestic or export processing premises. This boning rooms or small goods manufacturing premises that are not part of a retail butcher's shop.

All meat produced under this licence can only be sold if it is slaughtered, processed, packed and labelled at the licensed establishment and in accordance with the relevant standard.

Export processing licences will be subject to additional requirements imposed by legislation regulating exports. If you are granted an export processing licence, you can operate a domestic processing premises, but not vice versa.

You can apply for this licence as an individual or company. If you are applying as a company or do not intend to carry out day to day management of operations yourself, you must nominate a manager.
