Model Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals - Feral Livestock Animals - Northern Territory

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you intend to be responsible for the welfare of feral livestock animals captured for domestication or abattoir slaughter or which are destroyed in control programs.

Under the code the following species of livestock are classed as feral populations in Australia:

  • pigs
  • donkeys
  • horses
  • goats
  • cattle
  • swamp buffalo
  • arabian camels
  • deer.
