Permit for Introduction - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to import plants, plant products or associated material and equipment into the Northern Territory.

There are four categories of permits available:

  • plants and plant products
  • hay and other fodder
  • soil, compost and potting mix
  • machinery and equipment (plant related material).

When importing machinery and equipment, you may need to provide evidence from the state or territory of origin, proving the material has been treated and cleaned appropriately.

When importing hay and fodder, you must ensure that a vendor declaration travels with the product. You must also send a copy of details of the product to the agency.
