Description

You need to be registered to practise as a physiotherapist or a physical therapist in Australia. Physiotherapists and physical therapists undertake the remediation and rehabilitation of injuries or disabilities. The titles of physiotherapist and physical therapist are protected and you must be registered to use them.

The types of activities considered a part of physiotherapy may be updated or changed from time to time.

There are four different types of registration offered to practitioners:

  • general
  • limited
  • non-practising
  • student.

There is one endorsement for acupuncture available for physiotherapists with additional qualifications and expertise.
