Aerial Geophysical Survey System - Queensland

This service is provided to identify mineral and energy resource potential for improved industry and government decision making. More specifically, the database has been designed to enhance the understanding of the State's resource potential by providing an inventory of aerial geophysical surveys conducted in Queensland as part of company and government exploration programs.

Aerial Geophysical Survey System (AGSS) provides an inventory of all aerial surveys in Queensland. The database documents geographic and descriptive information about these surveys, and can be used to identify which aerial surveys have been conducted on exploration permits in the State, and whether the located digital data are available.

AGSS was developed to manage located data associated with aerial geophysical surveys (magnetic, radiometric and electromagnetic). After a predefined confidential period (usually the term of a tenure, or 5 years, whichever is sooner) the data is made publicly available.
