You will require this approval if you intend on using a motor vehicle on council controlled land that is not a motor vehicle access area. You may also require this approval if you intend on using a prohibited vehicle on a specified motor vehicle access area.
A motor vehicle access area includes council controlled car parks or roadways where there is no sign or traffic control device excluding public vehicles. For example, motor vehicle access to a park or mall.
Your local council can determine what should be considered to be a motor vehicle access area, as well as determining what vehicles are prohibited from using them.
This approval does not apply to emergency vehicles.
